Are you really telling me you only use Google Adwords for your pay per click advertising? If you’re ignoring pay per click advertising on Yahoo you could be loosing some serious profits. Here are six tips to get you familiar with Yahoo’s pay per click advertising so your marketing efforts can start getting you a piece of another pie.

1. Bid for Placement- Unlike Google Adsense, with Yahoo you can bid for placement and determine what position your ad will show depending on how much you bid per click. The advertiser with the highest bid will have position #1. Position #2 will go to the next highest and so on. If you really want that top spot you can grab it for the right price.

2. Best Ad Positions on Yahoo- Positions 1 through 5 convert the best with pay per click advertising on Yahoo, while max traffic comes with positions #1 and #2. Try and bid accordingly and aim for these coveted spots.

3. Write Quality Ads- Yahoo now gives weight to the quality of your ad, much like Google does, so write them well. Include your keywords in the title and description of your ads to make them as relevant as possible to the keywords you’re bidding on. And don’t forget to make them catchy. Boring ads don’t get clicks so be creative and catch the reader’s eye.

4. Dealing with Disapproved Ads- Because pay per click advertising on Yahoo involves having your ads approved by the editorial team before they show you need to make sure you read Yahoo’s guidelines and stick to them. But what if you stayed within the rules and still get disapproved? Here’s a trick—call them. Yahoo has a number you can call and speak directly to a member of the editorial staff. They’ll go over any changes that really need to be made to your ads and if all is well they’ll resubmit your ad for you with a personal note attached. Your ads will be showing in less than a day.

5. Direct Linking- Unlike Google that will not let you use affiliate links in their ads, Yahoo is cool with linking directly to the merchant’s website. This eliminates the need for a landing page or the worry of duplicate urls. Use this feature to test new campaigns for profit potential before putting effort into building your own landing page or website.

6. Beware the Content Network- Leaving the “content network” option on can spell big trouble as the traffic from these sources is usually poor. If you’re new to pay per click advertising on Yahoo do yourself a favor and turn this option off. Your wallet will thank you.

Many people that own businesses are now beginning to focus a portion of their advertising budget on the internet. In this day and age of business you’re just about dead in the water without some form of web presence. I hear it almost daily when speaking to prospective customers, “do you have a website?” or “what is your website address?”

There are a number of different advertising methods available to business owners now, but the most popular method is known as “Pay Per Click Advertising.” Pay Per Click advertising is a form of advertising where you “bid” on keywords and/or keyword phrases. You do market research to determine the keywords that people are using to find the products or services that you sell. After you come up with a keyword list, you’ll then write your ad(s) that you’ll want prospective customers to see and place a bid on your keyword phrases. You are then charged up to your bid amount each time someone clicks on your ads. You’re only charged when someone actually clicks, not each time your ad is shown.

The bidding process is where you must be extremely careful because you can lose your shirt very quickly. It’s a good idea to read a good book about how to use Pay Per Click Advertising before tackling it on your own. Trust me on this because it can save you a lot of grief down the road.

There are several different search engines that you can run your Pay Per Click campaigns on. As it has become more popular, it’s also become much more competitive. Some of the companies that you may want to consider are Google, Yahoo, MSN, Miva, Kanoodle, 7Search, LookSmart, GoClick, Enhance and more. The undisputed king of Pay Per Click search engines, at the time of this writing, is Google Adwords. You can set up a Google Adwords account and have ads up and running in as little as ten minutes. Fast and effective. Yahoo Search (formerly Overture) is a distant second, followed by MSN (Microsoft Search Network). These are known as the “big three” search engines and get the most traffic online by far over the other smaller engines.

There are some people that make their entire living with Pay Per Click marketing alone. These people either sell their own products and services or they sell other peoples products for a commission. These types of business people are known as Affiliate Marketer’s. There are some Affiliate’s that make thousands of dollars each year. There are “elite” individuals that make over a million dollars or more each year. These individuals that make six figures or more are known as “Super Affiliates”.

Whether you have an offline business and want to generate business for your company on the internet fast or someone that wants to earn a part time income by taking advantage of the Affiliate Marketing opportunities, Pay Per Click marketing can help you to line your pockets, once you learn how to use it effectively.

Is There Really A Pay-Per-Click Formula For Success?

Affiliate marketers are keen at finding ways to get merchants in front of potential customers. There’s article marketing, building niche websites, forum marketing, social network marketing, and pay-per-click, to name a few.

Which Formula Is Right For You?

Each of these marketing strategies varies widely in the amount of time and money invested to capture targeted traffic to merchant goods and services. For instance, forum marketing and social network marketing require very little time or money. Article marketing requires no investment of capital, but can take a great deal of time depending on how efficient you are as a writer. Building niche websites is even more time-consuming, plus you have to shell out funds to purchase a domain name and cover hosting fees. All of these methods are great ways to earn income by driving targeted traffic to merchants who pay a commission on each sale you generate for them.

But there is another highly lucrative business model that you might want to consider. Now be warned, perfecting this method is not easy. Simple mistakes in your execution could cost you hundreds of dollars. But if you can decipher the formula, pay-per-click advertising, or can pay off handsomely.

More specifically, we’re talking about the pay-per-click to cost-per-acquisition business model, also known as PPC to CPA or traffic brokering. If you have been in the internet marketing arena for any length of time, you have at least a general idea about the marketing methods discussed above, but very little is talked about or even known about using PPC to drive laser-targeted traffic to lead offers. Now generally, CPA offers pay less than a few dollars for each lead generated, but if you know the formula for capturing pay-per-click traffic that converts, there is the potential to make hundreds and even thousands of dollars a day.

The method behind using PPC to drive traffic to high-converting CPA offers is to get your pay-per-click ad in front of as many qualified visitors as possible. There are many different underground techniques to do this (they are “underground” because a very large majority of PPC marketers do not use or even know about these strategies). Now, you shouldn’t be buying ads targeting general keywords and phrases, that would be silly. Not only will you get tons of untargeted traffic, your ad costs would be astronomical. What you want to do is target some of the lesser-known search terms – terms that even the most savvy PPC marketer wouldn’t think of bidding on. You essentially want to cast a wide net which targets as much traffic as possible, while keeping your costs as low as possible. This is the key to creating the perfect pay-per-click formula.

Why Is Pay-Per-Click to CPA Info Hard-To-Find?

There is very little information on the Internet about PPC to CPA marketing. Maybe it’s because this method is so new and smart PPC marketers are still trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t. Or maybe it’s so obtuse that there is no one right way to do it. The most likely reason is this – the guys making the big bucks have secretly discovered the ideal pay-per-click formula and are keeping it all to themselves.

Tag:
Just who is this gentleman from New York; this northerner… a New England native who has spent most of his life in the big apple as physician but now retired to the riches he has made with FREE Pay-Per-Click!

What with the knowledge he has possessed for eight years, all he has for show is $87 Million?

And yet another revelation; that in this nearly eight years’ period of time since applying his secret he’s done well over $300 million in sales revenue with a most diverse line of products, and most recently in the last two years netted nearly $166 million after really “buckling down and pressing my secret to its fullest potential.”

Now to everyone else’s fortune, the city slicker is releasing his secret for getting an unlimited amount of pay-per-click ads to the general public. But he’s not promising any of us for how long.

A bit of an eccentric, the gentleman says “We’ll see just how long I can make it available before it saturates things.”

One famous public web guru pointed out that although this man may gain economically more so as a result of the publication of his secret “he’s already so amazingly rich that whether he continues or discontinues its sale will neither make nor break the man, but not grabbing it for yourself while it’s still available could prove disastrous for you as you may only have one chance, and a very limited one at that, to get this.”

Is this really the answer to the problems majority of marketers face today, given that keyword minimum bids are rising and Google changing their algorithms into equations that only a handful of them in the inside probably know about.

Is this Internet Marketer’s Holy Grail or Pandora’s Box? Will this secret give to the cyber world… Free Adwords?

This is your chance to find out and in certainty, know the answers to all of your questions.

The secret awaits you here … www.getgoogleadsfree.com

Tag:
By David Bain

Choosing between Pay-Per-Click Marketing and Search Engine Optimization is not a matter of measuring return on investment. There are major differences between the two approaches and the choice between one or the other is based on different factors; you must understand the differences before a final decision is made. Here are the steps to choosing between the two.

Many web marketers who have used pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, bothered by the ever-increasing cost of PPC or stung by instances of click fraud, are turning to search engine optimization (SEO) as a substitute or replacement for their PPC efforts. The problem is that many of these advertisers then start comparing their returns on SEO and find these lacking.

Comparing PPC to SEO is like comparing an IBM AS 400 mainframe to an Apple Powerbook – there is simply no comparison. They have distinct differences; they may be similar in that both are computers, but the differences outweigh the similarities.

Choosing between PPC and SEO is not a matter of tossing a coin or playing rock-paper-scissors. You must have a clear understanding of each approach and how to measure the return on investment of each before making a decision.

— Step 1: Understand PPC Marketing —

The key to PPC marketing is to think of it in the same way as ‘conventional’ advertising – the money you pay out results in the ‘display’ of your ad for a specific period of time. PPC marketing certainly works in the same way – the moment terms are settled between you and the internet ‘channel’ you selected (e.g., the search engine) your ads can appear. The moment you stop paying, your ads will be removed.

Results for PPC advertising are immediate and measurable – you start getting results within days of your ad being posted on the search engine page and (most of the time), people stop visiting your site the moment your ad is removed.

— Step 2: Understand Search Engine Optimization —

An SEO campaign, on the other hand, may have a defined start and end point (defined by the terms of the contract between you and an SEO group) but the results can last beyond the contract’s termination date – simply because the measures put in place are, to a large extent, “permanent.”

Think of an SEO effort as your typical brick-and-mortar establishment – you have the place and the merchandise, while the SEO company paints the building, sets up window displays, puts your merchandise on display and then waits for the customers to come in. If your SEO team did the job properly, people will ‘wander’ in.

You may decide to let your SEO group go after this and leave everything as is, but people will still drop by because their attention will still be called by your site’s window displays, exterior paint job, merchandising display, or word-of-mouth even after the SEO team has left for other assignments.

— Step 3: Understand the Differences between PPC and SEO —

Therein lies the difference between the two. You can think of PPC as advertising – a major investment with immediate impact and results, since people’s attention is called to your site – and people forget about you when the advertising is taken down (out of sight, out of mind); SEO efforts, on the other hand, is a long-term investment that takes time to set up and implement – but will last until long after the effort is completed.

From this perspective, it is not a matter of ‘choosing’ between one and the other – there are specific conditions where one is preferable to the other (for example, if you need immediate results then PPC is the way to go) or you can opt to go with SEO until you have the means to invest in PPC.

As was said, choosing one or the other is not a matter of a coin toss – there are other factors to consider.

Tag:
The world of the internet is in a phase of unrest; blogs are bubbling, forums are filling and article sites are alive with speculation. Can there really be a loophole to the Adwords program that can give anyone who possesses that knowledge, the great opportunity to get PPC advertising on Google for free? Is this just an Adwords predicament or are all search engines, big and small, faced with the same dilemma… the prospect of losing valuable revenue to those who know how to exploit the system.

But is this really about the search engines? Or is it about the people around the search engines; the marketers, the searchers, the optimizers, all the whole lot. Maybe it is not about the engines but about the people who thrive with the search engines.

In a previous post, the gentleman who possesses this secret has unabashedly declared that he has been using his system to get free advertising on the search engines since the turn of the century, and stated that he took advantage of an oversight of a vast majority of marketers, a lapse that has possibly made his fortune.

The New Englander talks of his eight years using this system and confesses, “I’ve actually gotten over $87 million in advertising that using my secret I never had to pay for … and the largest share of which was more recently in Google pay-per-clicks as well as other forms of pad advertising at search engines … all of which I got for free …”

So powerful is his secret that he’s able to monopolize any niche online, and can always secure the top premium spots just above the usual organic results featured at most search engines.

He still has to set up an account with the search engines - but after applying his secret he is removed from having to pay for all the costs otherwise involved. Again, nothing about his secret is either illegal or robs from the search engines.

A spokesperson from one of the most popular search engines said chuckling after being made privy to this amazing secret “Wow! Ha! This is really unique … and in my expert opinion it would only serve to enhance and bring more business to us at [name of search engine withheld for legal & confidentiality reasons] and not cause us to lose business in the slightest. Amazing!”

Those who have the secret love it; the guys who are with the search engines love it even more; if it isn’t illegal and it isn’t ripping of the search engines, although it does give you free pay per click advertising… what could this secret actually be?

This is a question that has been thrown around in debate recently. Google have reduced the amount paid out per click on their adsense ads so is it really wroth even having them on your website anymore?

The amount paid out may have been reduced but the fact that you do still get paid for clicks has to mean something. If it wasn’t worth having them, people wouldn’t still be using them.

Whether you can make a large income or a small income using adsense will really be determined by how much traffic your website receives. You will only ever make a good income with adsense if you have a lot of traffic coming through your website.

Having your site optimised to increase your page ranking is vital to ensure a rise in page rank and result in an increase of traffic.

Using good, unique content and a good use of keywords throughout your website is highly important.

Search engines love good content and lots of it. Be sure to constantly add to your websites content, usually by adding articles to your site.

Article marketing is a highly effective way to increase traffic to your website. As well as adding articles to your site you should also submit your articles to article directories.

Article submission will increase your traffic in two ways. Firstly when people read your article in the directory, if your content is good they may follow your link back to your website. Secondly, you are increasing the number of backlinks to your website which will ultimately help to increase your page rank and your traffic.

In conclusion, using Adsense is still a very good way to earn income online as long as you get the steps right in setting up your website for search engine optimization and keep working at adding content to your site and building backlinks to your site.

Exploiting what he claims to be a gross oversight on the part of 99.9% of all marketers, a gentleman from New York has discovered a method of getting for free, otherwise paid-for advertising at Google and all other search engines that allow sponsored ads.

And no, nothing about his “secret” is illegal; neither does it require you to know someone on the “inside” at Google, Yahoo, MSN, Overture and others.

Instead, the New Yorker boasts proudly “…this is something that I caught onto just before 2000 when there was so much search engine craze running around, and started doing small just to test things at first … but which I later expanded on after getting the hang of it.”

This same fellow went on to start and operate sixteen separate online companies selling everything from pet food, DVDs, children’s toys & games, books, software, and sold not only his own manufactured products but became an affiliate for other web businesses - all the while applying his mastermind secret.

What is this New Yorker’s guarded secret? How much has this secret actually made him profit? Thousands? Hundreds of thousands? Millions?

Once revealed to the world, will this really give us Adwords for FREE?

The term AdSense has almost become synonymous with a quick and easy way to earn income. Adsense is Google’s way of sharing revenue with webmasters. Adsense is used as a way to make money with a website. Online marketers call this monetizing a site. Simply put that means that your website is an employee who goes out into cyberspace and earns income for you.

How much money a Webmaster earns from Adsense is influenced by a lot of external forces. However, the most common thread for making money from Adsense is the quality of content on the website. It is not remarkable that article marketing and Adsense incomes are intrinsically linked.

Internet writers are in high demand. Writers create the content that drives the Internet consumer’s constant need for information. Some of the content in the form of articles is available from article directories. Private Label Rights Membership sites provide another supply of articles.

Because of the constant requirement for content, there are thousands of article directories that provide an unlimited number of articles on various subjects that Webmaster use to fill their sites with updated content. This content is an important resource. Good content is demanded by online surfers. Quality content encourages the search engines to not only visit the sites but to reward content publishers who provide quality content with higher page rankings.

Putting AdSense on a web page that has relevant content is the foundation for creating extra income. Using keywords and other Search Engine Optimizations tactics correctly will result in the highest revenues. Some experts suggest certain colors of the ad or the way the Adsense ads are placed on the page are differentiating factors that effect Adsense income.

There are many strategies explained in ebooks and reports on how to make the best use of Adsense ads to increase your income. But nothing brings the search engines, clicks, visitors and sales quicker than providing good content. Quality content is the fuel that drives this money machine.

Building a website from scratch for the sole purpose of cashing in on all the money available through AdSense might be a good use of resources. But the website must contain real content. Some webmasters try to use shortcuts to create Adsense sites.

Google penalizes sites that are packed with keywords and nonsensical articles that read like badly translated dictionaries. These sites are created solely for the purpose of providing a space to put up AdSense units. This type of site is ignored or at worst banned by Google. Your Adsense sites must meet Google’s stringent criteria for relevant content in order to monetize the site.

In the Online world you can never be too rich or offer your customer too many choices. The Internet is all about choice. You can create websites around almost any keyword or subject and earn Adsense income. The quality of the content on the site will determine whether you create income from Adsense or a static placeholder on the Internet.

They are calling him the million dollar man. Jason Calacanis recently revealed in his blog that he is on track to earn a million dollars from AdSense over the year ahead.

And if that number doesn’t wake you up and have you sitting on the edge of your seat, consider for a moment that he reached this level in less than a year. His company only started using AdSense in September 2004.

Calacanis runs Weblogs Inc., a network dedicated to creating trade weblogs across niche industries. And he’s quickly proven that AdSense is a credible advertising partner.

As their network has grown, so has their AdSense revenue. In January 2005 they earned an average of $580 per day. In March it was $737. In May it was $1,585. One day in July, just before he made the blog entry referred to above, they earned $2,335. Remember that is just for one day. If they can take that daily average to $2,740 they’ll be earning a rate of $1 million for a year. And Calacanis predicts that reaching daily earnings of $3,000 or even $5,000 is quite achievable.

That’s quite an achievement. Keep in mind that Calacanis has 103 bloggers on the payroll and nine staffers. Even so, many webmasters would give an arm or a leg to have even a third of that.

Google’s AdSense has been revolutionary. It has become firmly established as the darling of the online advertising industry. Although rumors are heard of major competitors launching a similar service, AdSense’s premier position seems secure for now.

In essence, AdSense has made it possible for almost anyone with a web site or blog to earn some revenue from advertising, without having to employ sales people or spend precious time searching for advertisers.

AdSense works like this. Webmasters sign up for an account in just a few minutes. They receive a small snippet of code to include on their web pages. Google will then automatically serve advertisements that are relevant to the content on the webmaster’s pages. When someone visits the webmaster’s site and clicks on one of Google’s AdSense advertisements, the webmaster earns a fee. Advertisers can pay anywhere from five cents to a hundred dollars per click, and the webmaster receives a percentage of that fee.

Many webmasters are content with earning five to ten dollars from AdSense to cover the cost of web hosting. But many, unsurprising, have higher ambitions. At a popular WebmasterWorld forum, participants share tips and encouragement on reaching a goal of $300 per day from AdSense. So it is no wonder that Calacanis created quite a buzz when he made his million dollar blog entry.

Google have proven once again that they excel at designing innovative Internet services. If you are in the web industry and have not yet used AdSense, then perhaps you should try it out. Or if you are already using it, perhaps Calacanis’ impressive results will encourage you to track the performance of your AdSense units more closely, fine tune their positions and formats, and take your earnings to a new level.
